Another popular option is to take the free courses and tutorials that you can find online. This may be a route to certification or accreditation, but some of the skills may be out of date. A self taught marketer must be resilient and some employers may place value on their dedication to get onto a marketing team. This could be a way to find a mentoring or internship opportunity which may ultimately lead to a high paying career. 

A final route is to use social media, blogging and podcasting to build your own brand. Engaging in digital marketing and ecommerce can be a learning and earning experience. There will be setbacks, some information that can be sourced online is no longer relevant and this can slow down the learning process.
