If you’re looking for a simple way to earn extra cash without taking on additional work, bank account bonus programs can be an easy win. Many U.S. banks offer promotional incentives that reward new customers with hundreds—or even thousands—of dollars for completing straightforward requirements like depositing a certain amount or setting up direct deposit. Some of these offers currently reach as high as $2,000.

HSBC Checking: Earn Up to $500

HSBC is offering several promotional bonuses across its checking products. With the Choice Checking account, new customers can earn a $200 bonus by maintaining a minimum balance of $1,500 for 90 days. The Advance Checking account increases the reward to $350 when you deposit $10,000.

Those willing to maintain up to $100,000 in an HSBC checking account may qualify for a total bonus of up to $500, depending on the specific offer and requirements.

Citibank: Up to $600 in Bonuses

Citibank’s Citi Priority Account Package offers a substantial incentive. Customers who deposit and maintain $50,000 and set up qualifying direct deposits for at least two consecutive months could receive a bonus of up to $750 once all conditions are satisfied.

Citi Priority: A Chance at $2,000

For those seeking the highest available rewards, Citi Priority can deliver one of the most generous bonuses. By depositing at least $10,000 in new-to-Citi funds within the first 20 days and maintaining that balance for 60 days, customers may become eligible for a bonus up to $1,500 depending on the total amount deposited.

HSBC Elite Credit Card: Up to $2,000 in Perks

HSBC’s Elite Credit Card ties its benefits to your broader relationship with the bank. When customers open and maintain an HSBC Premier checking account and meet certain spending requirements on the card, they can unlock up to $2,900 annually in combined perks, including cash-back opportunities and fee waivers.

TD Bank: Bonuses Up to $300

TD Bank offers bonus rewards for several of its checking accounts. The Premier Checking account provides a $300 bonus when customers receive at least $2,500 in direct deposits within the first 60 days. The Convenience Checking account offers a more accessible $150 bonus for depositing $500 within two months of opening the account.

Chase Premier Plus Checking: $300 Bonus

Chase offers a $300 bonus to customers who open a Chase Premier Plus Checking account—either online or in person—and set up qualifying direct deposit within 60 days. The bank waives monthly fees when customers maintain a minimum combined balance of $15,000 across linked Chase accounts or set up automatic mortgage payments.

Chase also offers a $200 bonus for opening a Chase Total Checking account, provided you maintain at least $1,500 in the account or meet other program requirements.

Start Cashing In Today

Bank account bonus programs can be a valuable tool for earning extra cash with minimal effort. Still, it’s essential to review the fine print for each offer, including balance requirements, deposit timelines, and any ongoing fees tied to the account. Making sure the terms align with your financial habits will help you get the most value from these promotions.
